| This is an set of two FME Compound Transformers that can be used to scale objects based on either their centerpoint or center of gravity. Click here to download it. | ![]() |
Requirements
A recent FME Professional beta (build 2143 and up, older builds may not be supported)
Installation instructions
Unzip the files and place them in My Documents\FME\Transformers. FME will automatically recognize them and place them in your transformers gallery.
Notes Take the example shown on the right. The original data has been scaled 300% using the Scaler and the Scaler-CenterPoint. Since the 0,0 point for this particular coordinate system (Netherlands-RD/NAP) is located well outside the country, using the Scaler causes a big shift. Using the Scaler-Centerpoint keeps the centerpoint for the data in the same location. For some reason these transformers only work if you actually have something selected in the Group By option. If necessary, simply create an attribute especially for this purpose. The text scaling option is taken from the original Scaler and works in the same way. |
