Apeldoorn Typographic Map
This is a typographic map of the center of the city of Apeldoorn, The Netherlands, inspired by similar maps that were done by Axis Maps.
Text placement was initially attempted through LabelPro, but eventually a manual approach was used. In the end this yielded better results.
Seperate colors were used to distinguish between "regular" built up areas, important buildings, parks, water features, streets and railroads.
Currently there are no plans to extend coverage of this map. If you like it, I suggest you purchase one of the fine typographic maps produced by Axis Maps from their web store.
